Learn more about Whirl-Pak polyurethane sponge?

Make environmental surface sampling faster and easier with these pre-moistened sponge bags. Each features a polyurethane sponge, pre-hydrated with HiCap™ Neutralizing Broth and is terminally gamma processed to guarantee sterility.

Collection broths play a critical role in the success of an environmental monitoring program. HiCap™ (High Capacity)
Neutralizing Broth is the first collection broth developed specifically for use in the food and beverage industry as an
alternative to the traditional collection broths (Neutralizing Buffer, D/E Neutralizing Broth, and Letheen Broth), each of
which suffers from some deficiency.

Medical-grade polyurethane sponge provides improved rigidity making it easier to handle and manipulate than a
cellulose sponge. It also resists tearing and fraying, allowing for vigorous scrubbing on irregular surfaces to disrupt biofilm.

B01592WA - PolyProbe™

Ideal for collecting environmental surface samples without touching the sponge. The bendable polypropylene handle allows maximum contact of the sponge with the sampling surface and also helps with the collection of hard-to-reach surfaces, around corners, and irregular shaped areas. The innovative twist-off head holds the polyurethane sponge securely but is quick and easy to remove from the handle once sample collection is completed.

The PolyProbe™ is sealed in a 24 oz. (710 ml) write-on Whirl-Pak® bag and hydrated with 10 ml of HiCap™ Neutralizing Broth. Bags are 9" L x 6" W (23 x 15 cm) with a thickness of 2.5 mils (.064 mm).
